Loudon Rd Georgetown, OH Driveway Rebuild
A full driveway rebuild including grading, ditch restoration, drainage correction, fresh #411 limestone delivery, and full compaction to eliminate washouts and create a durable driving surface.
Before Work Began
This Loudon Rd driveway in Georgetown had several long‑term issues that needed more than a simple gravel top‑off. The surface had washouts along the edges, standing water in low areas, soft spots caused by poor base material, and an incorrect slope that pushed water across the driveway instead of toward the ditch. These problems are common in Georgetown due to clay‑heavy soil and rural terrain, and they require a full rebuild to fix them correctly.
What This Driveway Needed
Because the driveway had washouts, standing water, and an incorrect slope, the only way to fix it correctly was to rebuild the base and reshape the entire surface. Simple gravel top‑offs don’t solve these issues in Georgetown — the clay soil holds water and causes erosion if the driveway isn’t graded properly. This project required full slope correction, ditch restoration, and fresh #411 limestone to create a stable, long‑lasting driving surface.
During the Rebuild
Once the driveway was regraded and the drainage path was established, we began rebuilding the surface. The ditch line was restored to give water a clear place to run, and the driveway was shaped to the correct slope. Fresh #411 limestone was delivered and spread evenly across the newly prepared base. These photos show the grading work, ditch restoration, and limestone installation in progress.

Finished Results
After grading, ditch restoration, and a full installation of fresh #411 limestone, the driveway was compacted into a smooth, durable surface built for long‑term performance. The corrected slope now directs water into the ditch instead of across the driveway, eliminating washouts and soft spots. These final photos show the completed driveway with proper drainage, clean edges, and a fully compacted finish that will hold up to daily use and heavy traffic
