Hauling Fee Policy

MW Martin Services applies hauling fees to cover the real costs associated with transporting materials and equipment to your location. These fees ensure fair, consistent pricing and protect against excessive fuel usage, travel time, and equipment wear.

Core Service Zone (Blue) — No Hauling Fee

Jobs located in Blanchester, Mt. Orab, Sardinia, Bethel, Batavia, and surrounding areas do not incur a hauling fee.

Extended Service Zone (Green) — Hauling Fee Applies

Jobs located in Winchester, Leesburg, Greenfield, Sabina, Georgetown, and surrounding areas include a hauling fee due to increased travel time and fuel consumption.

A distance adjustment may also apply depending on the number of loads and total travel distance.

Outer Service Zone (Orange) — Long‑Distance Hauling Fee Applies

Jobs located in Bainbridge, Piketon, Waverly, Lucasville, Minford, Otway, and surrounding rural areas require long‑distance hauling fees.

These fees cover extended travel time, additional fuel usage, and increased wear on the dump truck and equipment.

Customer Appreciation 

Returning customers receive a 5% discount on their next service as a thank‑you for choosing MW Martin Services again.

Referral Thank‑You 

Refer a new customer who books and completes a job, and you’ll receive a $50 credit toward your next service — whether it’s driveway work, drainage, land clearing, or even a load of gravel or firewood.

Repeat discount and referral credit cannot be combined on the same job.

Why These Services Matter in Rural Ohio

Most driveway problems start with water — not gravel. Rural driveways naturally lose their crown over time as vehicles push material outward. Once the crown disappears, water begins running straight down the centerline, softening the base and creating potholes, ruts, and washouts. Ditch lines also fill in slowly from erosion and grass growth, trapping water along the edges. In many cases, the culvert pipe is undersized, clogged, or missing entirely, causing water to flow across the driveway instead of under it.

Combined with clay‑heavy soil and high annual rainfall in Southwest Ohio, these issues make proper drainage and culvert management absolutely essential. Without correcting water flow, gravel alone will never hold up — the driveway will continue to fail year after year.

This is why every driveway we install or repair includes grading, drainage correction, and culvert evaluation. Fixing the root problem is the only way to build a driveway that lasts.
