Rt. 132 Driveway Construction – Full Rebuild, Grading, Drainage, and Limestone Installation in Goshen, Ohio
This Rt. 132 property needed a full construction driveway from the ground up. The access lane needed to be cut through a hill. The customer wanted a driveway that was strong enough for construction traffic, shaped correctly for long‑term durability, and blended cleanly into the surrounding terrain.
Over three days, we reshaped the land, cut in a new driveway path, installed fresh limestone, and built mowable banks that will stay stable as the property continues to develop. Below is the full progression of the project from start to finish.
DAY ONE: LAND CLEARING, CUTTING, AND SHAPING
Day One focused on building the foundation of the driveway.
We started by clearing the access path and removing soft material that couldn’t support vehicle traffic. The hillside was cut back to create a stable lane, and we shaped the driveway so water would shed properly instead of pooling or washing out the stone.
Key steps completed on Day One:
- Cut in the new driveway path
- Removed soft, unstable material
- Shaped the hillside for a clean, safe access lane
- Built mowable banks along both sides
- Established the correct slope for drainage
DAY TWO: STONE DELIVERY, COMPACTION & FINAL GRADING
Day Two was all about strength and finish. We delivered and installed:
- 60 tons of Type‑C limestone for the base
- 60 tons of #304 limestone for the top layer
The base stone was spread and compacted to lock the driveway in place, followed by a full grading pass to smooth the surface and tie everything together. The banks were shaped, the edges were cleaned, and the entire driveway was compacted for long‑term durability.
Key steps completed on Day Two:
- Delivered and placed all limestone
- Full compaction for a solid, long‑lasting base
- Final grading for a smooth, clean finish
- Shaped edges and banks for a professional look
- Prepared the driveway for future construction traffic
Project Summary
The driveway is now fully built, compacted, and ready for daily use. The customer has additional plans for the property, so this project will continue later — but the driveway is complete, stable, and performing exactly the way it should.
The final photos and video show:
