Driveway & Drainage Repair in Lebanon, Ohio

This Lebanon project was a full rebuild from the ground up. The homeowner had been dealing with washouts, soft spots, and standing water for a long time. The driveway wasn’t draining correctly, and every heavy rain made the problem worse. They reached out looking for a long‑term fix — not just another load of stone.

Assessing the Problem

When we arrived, it was clear the driveway issues were caused by poor drainage. Water was running across the lane instead of away from it, and the existing base had weakened over time. Before any stone could be added, the water problem had to be corrected.

A solid driveway starts with a solid foundation — and that foundation starts with proper drainage.

Cutting in the Drainage Trench

The first step was opening up a new trench to redirect water away from the driveway. We dug out the problem area, exposed the old material, and created a clean path for the new drainage line. Once the trench was shaped correctly, we installed corrugated pipe to carry water where it needed to go.

Installing the Drainage Pipe

With the trench opened up, we laid in the new pipe and made sure it had the correct pitch. Proper slope is everything — too flat and water sits, too steep and it outruns the system. Once the pipe was set, we backfilled and compacted the area to lock everything in place.

Rebuilding the Driveway Base

After the drainage was corrected, we focused on the driveway itself. The base had several soft spots, so we cut those areas out, reshaped the lane, and rebuilt the foundation. A driveway is only as strong as what’s underneath it, so this step is critical.

Fresh Stone & Final Grading

With the base rebuilt, we brought in fresh stone and spread it evenly across the lane. Using the equipment, we shaped the crown, blended the edges, and compacted everything for a clean, durable finish.

Final Results

The transformation on this Lebanon property was huge. What started as a washed‑out, uneven driveway is now a solid, smooth, professionally finished lane with proper drainage underneath. The homeowner no longer has to worry about standing water or ruts forming after every storm.
